School Holiday Basketball Camp

BOOKING CONDITIONS

Please read the terms and conditions carefully before booking. By booking or joining any of our activities, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions:

  • You are at least 18 years old;
  • You are the parent or legal guardian of the child(ren) you are booking to the School Holiday Basketball Camp;
  • Your child(ren) are reasonably fit and healthy, capable of participation on the activities and that you have fully disclosed details of any relevant information on the Enrolment Form;
  • Your child(ren) will be, on the date of the Basketball Camp, between ages 8 and 12 years old.

We reserve the right to modify or cancel the Basketball Camp due to adverse weather conditions, low attendance or other unforeseen circumstances and will notify you of such modifications as soon as possible.

We reserve the right to remove a participant from the Basketball Camp or to refuse admittance should we deem it necessary to do so. This includes where a participant does not comply with the safety rules and advice, does not act responsibly and courteously, is disruptive, does not participate, behaves in a way we deem to be inappropriate in the circumstances, fails to respect or affects the enjoyment of the camp for other participants.

Participants are expected to be reasonably fit and healthy and not suffer from any medical condition which would make it more likely that they would be involved in any incident which could result in injury to themselves or others. If you are in any doubt as to whether the participant should attempt the activities we have set out in our camp details, do talk to us about your concerns prior to booking.

In the unlikely event that any participant requires medical attention while on a camp, we will provide first aid on site and make every attempt to contact you. You acknowledge and consent to our taking the participant offsite to obtain medical attention when we deem this is required, if necessary without your consent, in an emergency.

Children are required to be signed in and out by a parent.

DISCLAIMER

By accepting these terms and conditions, you understand and agree that:

  • The activities of the Basketball Camp in which any participant is enrolled involves an inherent risk of injury.
  • You are responsible for the participant’s safety and accept this inherent risk in order for your child to participate in the camp.
  • You will ensure that the participant acts and behaves appropriately and complies at all times with our safety rules and procedures in order to minimise risk.

  • In the event of an accident or any damage, loss, injury or death, we will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage or injury arising from or in connection with the activities undertaken on the camp.

INFORMATION GUIDE

  • The session will run for one (1) day on 15 April 2024, Monday, between 9AM to 2:30PM. We recommend for parents to sign-in their child(ren) 10 minutes earlier.
  • Children should wear comfortable clothing preferably a singlet, shorts (without pockets), socks, and runners or basketball shoes.
  • Children should bring a ball, water bottle, towel, extra shirt, and snacks and lunch. There is a water station in the venue and children are encouraged to refill their drink bottles during breaks.
  • Children should bring a hat and sunscreen for use when there are activities outdoors.
  • We aim to ensure all children will have a positive and enjoyable experience at the Basketball Camp.
  • All our coaches and volunteers have current and active working with children certificates.
  • We request that parents collect their child(ren) on time. Activities conclude at 2:30PM. We recommend parents to be at the venue 10 mins earlier to collect their child(ren).

INJURY AND ILLNESS

  • Any incidents, e.g. administering first aid, that need to be documented shall be completed by the Camp Manager and parents will be made aware of the incident that occurred to their child. This will take place immediately in the event of a serious accident/incident, or at the end of the day in respect of more routine injuries such as grazes.
  • It is essential that parents sign all incident report forms so that they are immediately and fully aware of anything that may have occurred to their child that day.
  • Maharlika Sports staff reserve the right to refuse access to the program if they deem the child to be unwell; this is because a child with an infectious illness/condition places the health of other children and staff at risk.
  • In the event of this occurring, the parent/guardian nominated on the enrolment form will be contacted and asked to make arrangements for the child to be collected.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
