By registering, attending, participating in any of our training/games, you agree to adhere to our policies, rules and procedures.

Blood Rule

  • Any player who is bleeding or has an open wound will be ordered by the referee or officials to leave the court immediately.
  • The Referee will administer a Referee’s Time Out and all Players must leave the Court and remain in respective Bench areas until the blood has been correctly cleaned from the Court.
  • The wound should be properly treated and the affected area completely and securely covered. 
  • When there is blood on the player's uniform, then the uniform must be changed. A substitute uniform may be worn.
  • If there is blood on the ball, it must be replaced.
  • A blood kit should be used to remove any spilt blood on the floor or benches.
  • A substitute player can be called on to replace the player who is bleeding.

    Player and Parent Code of Conduct

    By registering, participating, and attending any of our training/games, you agree to adhere to the Player and Parent Code of Conduct.

     

    PLAYERS

    • Be on time for all training and games. It is recommended to be at the venue 10 minutes your scheduled training/games unless you are given a call time.
    • Respect your coach and officials and follow instructions given at all times.
    • Respect your fellow team members, opposition teams and supporters.
    • Respect referees and other officials and DO NOT argue with them.
    • Be positive and supportive of your team members.
    • Players are NOT TO intimidate opposition players either verbally or physically.
    • Players to shake hands with opponents, coaches and officials at conclusion of every game.

     

    PARENTS

    • Parents must not coach from the sidelines during training/games.
    • Parents should not criticise their child on any part of their game. Leave this to the coaches to avoid confusion and significantly impacting the player's confidence.
    • Be your child's best fan and supporter. Love them unconditionally whether they perform to the best of their abilities or not.
    • On transporting your child home, please be supporting and always focus on the positive aspects of his game. Be honest but gentle with your feedback on your child's performance.
    • Develop a responsibility in your child to pack his own gear, and bring along his water bottle and ball.
    • Respect the facilities and any staff member.
    • Do not criticise your child’s coach to your child or other parents. If you are not happy with the coach, you should raise the issue with the coach directly.
    • Help your players to focus on the performance and not the result. Winning is not as important as the performance.
    • Support all the players training and playing during games. Do not criticise any player.
    • Do not criticise the opponents, their parents, coaches or the referee.

     

    Please Note: Any breach of the above code of conduct by players, parents, and officials will be dealt with. Maharlika Sports reserves the right to refuse any player, parent, or officials from joining/participatng/attending any of the training/games if any of the code of conduct is breached.
